Mangas provide me the best outlet for imagination. No boundaries, no rules. And if you just don't like the way it goes, you can stop reading and make up an ending of your own. Lol. Realities don't provide you that privilege.
Anyhow, I'm currently reading Fushigi Yugi and am really hooked to it at the moment. I really fell in love with Watase Yuu's works...Imadoki was entertaining and sweet, Ayashi no Ceres was interesting and now, Fushigi. Besides Watase's works, I love Odagiri Hotaru too for her wonderful illustrations of really good looking male characters. Her interesting and charming story ideas are another plus point. I am still so grateful to Mags for introducing me to her works. Odagiri Hotaru is definitely an awesome shounen-ai mangaka. I fell in love with Time Lag, Only The Ring Finger Knows, Toumei Shounen (Invisible Boy) and practically all of her known works.
As I was saying before I got side-tracked, I am going to spazz a little over some fictional characters. A few of my very favorites.
First: The characters from Time Lag - Shirou, Satoru and Seiichi.
My first reading of Odagiri's works. Shirou is wayyy good looking...so is Seiichi. Satoru's...cute.
Then there's Shinpo Daiya and Shinpo Ichi from Parfait Tic.
I am still, STILL, rooting for Ichi despite his indecisiveness and endless 'beating around the bush'. I don't even know why am I still doing so when in real life, I would have already gave a good slap to such a guy for making me go around in circles. Lol.
Kugyou Kouki from Imadoki!
His cool demeanor is damn attractive and when he smiles...it's heart-melting. When he gets protective over Yamazaki...it's incredibly cute =D
Toumei Shounen's Kyousuke Natsume
I love how he always 'destroy' the beautiful and charming image of the Ougaku Student Council. And how he always argues with the student council's president =P
Yuushi Kitou
He is still, the hottest manga character for me, even despite the many other characters out there in the manga world. Student Council President for the prestige Ougaku High School. He is bloody good looking and superbly charming...he's near perfect actually. Lol.
Actually, in all honesty, I find every guy in Toumei Shounen incredibly good looking. As expected from an Odagiri manga. You can find both good looking guys and an interesting storyline =D
And my latest favorite manga, from Vampire Knight; Zero Kiryu and Kaname Kuran
I was really awestruck when I came to this particular frame. They are so darn beautiful! Guys and girls. Kain caught my attention at first before this one particular guy with dark long hair stood out...the one and only Kaname Kuran, a pure blood vampire.
I was actually going to put them in a particular order but I couldn't make up my mind and it was too much of a hassle as well, so I didn't. However, if I really had to choose my most favorite...it would be Yuushi Kitou. I was actually contemplating between him and Kaname but in the end, Yuushi still wins. Lol. And I just realized that I had forgotten about another character...from Ouran High School Host Club...the lovable dorky 'king' - Tamaki Suoh.
Sad to say, the guys above does not exist in real life, or even if they do...I don't think I would be able to cross paths with them. Out of my league. Hehe. But, maybe I could make exception for one guy. He's somewhat like...Kugyou and a little of Yuushi. A prefect...tall, amazing smile, boyish looks with his bangs falling and reaching just above his eyes, rather loved and admired by many...and one thing that I've been lucky to came to know, he has the sweetest heart. We didn't really know each other, but the one time we actually had the chance to talk, I found that characteristic of his. I was really worried over my major exams and he told me to not give up so easily and I would definitely be able to do well. All I had to do was just believe that I could do it. If he could have done it, so can I, cause it's not impossible. It was nice to hear someone believed in you, even if we didn't really know each other in the first place. I will never forget that feeling. So wherever I go, whatever I do, when I feel low in self-confidence, I would always recall his words and tell myself that since he could do it, so can I.
I guess with that encounter, maybe there are such guys like Kugyou, or Daiya, Ichi (actually, I have came across guys like Ichi, and it's annoying, lol) or...fingers crossed, Kaname and Zero XD. It would be...interesting to know someone like Kaname. Yeah, with the whole vampire thing going on. Scary yes, but still interesting.
