manga guys pt.2
Like in my previous post...I rambled on about how awesome manga guys can be....shoujo manga and shounen-ai alike. So in continuation of my infatuation with manga guys...
Matsuyuki Ran of Rockin' Heaven
Hie eyes are the most mesmerizing feature of his. I love the way the mangaka, Sakai Mayu, draws all the characters. Very pretty. The storyline is nothing new but there are interesting bits here and there. At the moment, up until where I last read that is, Ran is still pretty mysterious.
And because I couldn't exactly find an image of Syaoran & Sakura in Tsubasa Chronicles without infringing any copyright or whichever website's rule (I'm a stickler when it comes to stuff like this, so sue me =p) so I can't post up any pic of it...how unfortunate. I love the pairing so much, the OTP of all anime, well to me anyway. They are absolutely the cutest couple ever, hehe. Since they are both in Cardcaptor as well, also as each other's love interests, this is twice the love =D And it's not all mushy love either, cause TC is much more for the boys meaning more action and fight scenes...their love story takes a seat behind (though the reason to Syaoran's quest is for Sakura). CardCaptor hardly featured the mushy love either cause it took a while for Syaoran to realize his feelings and it took the very end of the manga (or for the anime - the last movie) for Sakura to realize hers and give her answer to him.
Speaking of pictures I am unable to find, I was unable to find one for Only the Ring Finger Knows as well. Except for the covers...but that doesn't really count. Kazuki Yuichi is the coolest guy to be featured in a shounen-ai manga. Lol. And Wataru is so darn cute with his big and dark eyes. If anyone wishes to get into shounen-ai, this is definitely the one manga to read.
Milk Crown is my current obsession cause of the insanely cute lovey-doveyness between the lead guy and girl.
L-R, Nagi Takeru, Goryuukanda Jin and Aizawa Yamato. The lead guy would be Jin who looks cool and suave but is actually a real romantic at heart who loves his girl to the point where he is not shy to show his affections and how much he loves her...in front of everyone. He's the typical perfect guy...rich and smart, good looking too, and his one main key point is how faithful he is. Jin fell in love with Oto ever since he was 6(?) when they met coincidentally at the beach. He said he would marry her because he loves her (which is unbelievable at such an age) and she promised him that if she were to fall in love with him one day, she would marry him. They parted ways however and Oto who had a high fever right after that forgot all about her promise and him. When they meet again at 15 in school, that's where the fun begins. The whole manga has nothing but sweet fluffiness but it's put in a context where it's absolutely amusing to read about their story. Oto has this crazy ability to melt into goo every single time Jin says or does something which makes her blush. She can turn into a stone at times as well...and she has a tendency to harm Ukyou whenever she's too distracted with her thoughts, she would either be cooking him or hanging him up on the clothesline, etc. I like the fact she's not so much of the typical heroine cause she's so bloody goofy and ridiculous at times.
When I first saw the image of Jin, he wasn't exactly my favorite immediately..cause of his hair. He looks like a spitting image of Cloud Strife. Not that I dislike Cloud cause he's awesome (especially in AC...though he looks like he's gonna cry anytime with that blue-mako eyes of his) but it didn't just go down well with me that Jin looked so much like him. But I eventually came to love the guy after seeing how romantic the guy can be.
Nagi and Yamato are idols in the story, which figures since they have really good looks. Nagi always gets into trouble with Jin because he's just too honest when it comes to Oto and her relationship with Jin, lol. And he always gets eaten by Lady, Jin's pet shark. Yamato is freaky at times because he seems to possess some weird spirit by his side. But he's really cool still.
Rokumeikan Toki and Saionji Ukyou. I am starting to think they are going to be more than just friends cause from time to time, there seems to be something that hints the both of them actually hold feelings deeper than just friendship for each other. Toki is sweeeeeet cause she loves Oto so much and supports her with Jin even though Toki is the official fiance of Jin. She doesn't see Jin anything more than her childhood friend so their engagement is just a matter arranged by their families. Ukyou is a female at heart which explains his tendency to cling onto Jin at times, lol. He loves to dress Oto up with his designs =D
The trio again, Yamato, Nagi and Jin. Jin has dark hair in this image because he had to dye his hair to avoid the media attention. All three of them looks so.darn.good =D
The manga never fails to amuse me, especially the Jin-Oto love cause it's almost always she would melt into goo when they are together which is darn funny. The rest of them know of her strangeness so they have a tendency to predict when she will melt. And Jin doesn't get freaked out by her melting, but finds it unique though he does hope she would stop melting into goo so much, especially at inappropriate times like having danger right in the face.
If only such a guy like Jin exists...lol, that would be great cause he simply accepts every single insanity Oto has. Though that would mean if a Jin like this exists, then it would mean he would have already fallen in love with a girl from his childhood...ah, pointless for me then. I don't remember meeting anyone cute and charming when I was 6 so yeah, there's no hope for me there. But really, to have a guy who loves you for everything you are and accepts you for all that you are...that's something I'd like my guy to be. Cause I have the tendency to act all weird and dorky at times, the tendency to eat almost every hour, etc...so it would be nice to have someone who could put up with that and still love me all the same. Sigh...
