Naturally, since it's summer, I should change my layout to fit something for it. Okay, so there isn't much reference to it if it's just the images alone. Anyhow, these were scans from their summer concert pamphlet, which by the way, features them all hot and bare and seductive - so unlike them, but not that I am complaining XD So it somewhat counts for the 'summer theme', rofl. I really wanted to use the scans for some sort though there were another set of magazine scans which actually fitted the 'summer theme' much more. Oh well.
Summer this year around brings two exciting J-dramas, one being 'Maou' and another being 'Yasuko To Kenji' both which features JE's boys. The former with Ohno of Arashi and Ikuta Toma - to which if I'm not mistaken, is receiving pretty good ratings. And the latter, with the one and only drummer boy of my dreams, lol, Ohkura-kun of Kanjani8. His character is your typical charming, good-looking boy in school whom every girl has a crush on =D So Ohkura really. Different from his dorky James role in 'Utahime' but just as lovable. Nishikido Ryo on the other hand, has another drama in fall with Ninomiya-kun of Arashi and Toda Erika (the chirpy and lolita-like Misa of 'Death Note'). One word - wow. The plot's pretty intriguing as the three play siblings who goes out to swindle people after learning of their parents' no-so-accidental death. The amusing part, Nishikido-kun plays Ninomiya's younger brother. Rofl. I'm sorry, Ninomiya-kun has this Peter Pan face that seems to never change with his age and Nishikido-kun, well, he just doesn't quite fit the billing of Ninomiya's younger brother. Nevertheless, it's going to be interesting =)
Summer also means a trip for me to Singapore with May Yee =D Four days, three nights - exciting really. Especially since I haven't gotten to see the country much when I went there the last time. Also, it means a possible working trip for me to Sabah & Sarawak sometime mid next month. I can't really tell yet if I am looking forward to it or otherwise, but I guess we'll see.
And since this a fangirl's blog, I shouldn't end with such a simple un-fangirl-like post. So, I sort of decided on my list of top 10 anime/manga guys of my dreams. I was going to post pics of them as well to give it a little more imagination, but I couldn't bring myself to be too bothered about aesthetics at the moment. So here's just the list in text =D
10) Kiryuu Zero of Vampire Knight
Vampire hunter turn vampire - I can't find any reason not to like him anymore than that. He's so sullen and composed that almost nothing fazes him. The mystery he keeps within him makes him even more intriguing as well.
9) Shinpo Ichi of Parfait Tic
Straight-A student with an incredibly dry wit and sharp tongue for sarcasm. And such a screw-up when it comes to love XD Oh, and the fact that he makes a really pretty girl when he's dressed up as one.
8) Matsuyuki Ran of Rockin' Heaven
As cold as he seems to be but he definitely melts my heart whenever he's with Sawa cause he's just so incredibly thoughtful and sweet around her.
7) Kazuki Yuichi of Only The Ring Finger Knows
'Handsome, intelligent, tall and popular, kind and gentle to everyone he meets...' the very words that Wataru used to describe him - totally agreeable. And the fact that his seiyuu for the drama CD is Takahiro Sakurai earns even more bonus points XD
6) Kitou Yuushi of Invisible Boy
He's almost similar to Kazuki but he's much more gentle-natured and has this amusing love for cute things.
5) Endou Kazuki of Gakuen Heaven
I just got lost in those blue eyes of his in the anime and I have no idea why.
4) Mitsui Hisashi of Slam Dunk
Bad boy basketball player with a signature move for three-pointers. What is there not to love about him? XD
3) Rukawa Keade of Slam Dunk
No words needed here. I mean, come on, he is the boy. Plus, his icy demeanor is actually really intriguing.
2) Sendoh Akira of Slam Dunk
I don't know why but I am so attracted to his entire profile. The fact that he's always smiling and calm on the court, the way he looks in the blue Ryonan jersey and all...he's just captivating, let's leave it at that.
1) Kuran Kaname of Vampire Knight.
I've said it before - I have a strange fascination for vampires and I think they are just so uniquely amazing and mystifying. Kaname just makes the fascination grow even deeper cause he's not like any vampire yet he's as terrifying as one with the skeletons hidden in his closet. And whenever he's with Yuuki, there's this deep longing within him that Hino-sensei seems to convey within those drawings. He's a vampire with human feelings but those feelings are made intense by his vampire nature.
I can't help but think that pictures of all the aforementioned manga/anime boys would do them much justice, but, oh well =D
