Insane as it is, I'm absolutely charmed by this pair of good friends who appear to have a perfect chemistry - in sync with one another, matching smiles, complementing voices, same ages, it's just, somehow amazing to see them with one another. His smiles seem to be softer, gentler as his eyes lightens with a glint of affection and fondness when they are directed at her. Her grins brighten up her face - with amusement and attachment, when she looks at him. They are frequently next to each other, humoring one another be it in train rides, restaurants, discussions, etc. And the cutest thing, is how they turn to one another. When she was the unlucky one to pull out an embarrassing dare - her first reaction was to repeat 'why' in a protest tone, and everyone started calling out her name with a slight teasing taunt, before the next word that left her lips was 'wait' and then - his name in a sudden abrupt(slight lamenting) call. The first call sounded as if it was out of reflex before she repeated his name again, in a more normal tone to pose him the question of the venue of her dare. I'll just add here that I think Nishijima-kun's chuckle is delightful to the ears =D I found it amusing that out of all six of her bandmates, she called out him, who I have to add - wasn't sitting beside her and was actually seated diagonally right from her with at least a distance of a meter and a half. When she could've called out to Atae-kun seated opposite, or Ito-chan next to her. And Nishijima-kun wasn't exactly among the ones who immediately launched into a teasing taunt when she pulled the dare.
So this post, is all about spazzing over them. Usually, it's me spazzing over those 'gorgeous' guy artistes but I'll make it different with this charming pair. Starting off with the first that prompted me to create this post, from the group's 1st anniversary at Budokan: Singing 出逢いのチカラ
I'll sidetrack here just to say how much I love the look he has with the jacket and tie in jeans, and that slight wet look. And I enjoy how his voice sounds so smooth in this performance - albeit the slight missed cues from the music.
And so, the performance has them going to separate ends of the venue. And yet he still faces her to sing with such emotions.
A really good distance away I might add.
Because this song duet has them responding to one another within the song, he sings a line before she sings another line. So naturally, they would pause in between, taking the microphone away from their lips for a few brief seconds. And in the first chorus, when he does so, this heart-warming smile crosses his boyish features:
Directed towards her.
And cue her beatific grin from the other end when she completed her stanza.
This is how far they are from one another and yet still 'communicating' all the same.
And then this year's live at NHK Hall in April:
From their performance of 唇からロマンチカ, which by the way, I still reckon is one of the next best cabaret-like songs after Moulin Rouge & PATD's music. I love their dance moves and adore the NissyxMisako interaction within the beginning alone.
Sidetracking once more (just because I am so drawn to him as well) - Atae-kun(left side of the image) looks absolutely, seductive with this pose, right after Ito-san leaves his lap. I've never found a seating position as, well, as deliciously seductive as this. Excuse me for my abrupt bluntness but honestly, how does he look so amazingly good with just that stance is beyond my comprehension. He sits there, she makes her moves, gets up and leaves with her hand trailing his shoulder blades, and his upper body just naturally gravitates to her movement as his gaze shifts onto her, and his neck turns ever so casually to keep her within his visage for another few seconds. It just makes me want to pin him against the wall and kiss him senseless. And trust me, if I could - I would.
And back to the pair, when they were singing for their 'Act Corner', starting of with 'Q'. The interaction's simply adorable for words.
Her curious gaze.
His responsive charming grin.
The corners of her lips seem to lift themselves effortlessly and that grin remains on his face just as simply.
And when it came to their rope-skipping game, I found it equally a delight (and very much intrigued) on how as she called out to him, her hand reached out and he came (with the weird hand movements and all), reaching towards it as if its the most natural reaction ever. It's as if it's a simple reflex that runs in their veins or something. His hands quickly shift their direction before touching hers however, lol.
And sidetracking again - chibi AAA boys were simply adorable to the point where I would want them as my own if I could. Lolz. Seriously. Watching them dance and mimic to '最強Babe' in the guys only concert last year, was a sight that I couldn't stop grinning at.
I would want my little boy to dress like his dad too! It would be an awesome photo moment - and a nice father-son bonding session, no?
And my favorite little boy:
"Little Shinjiro". I sorta forgot his real name, but if I'm not mistaken it begins with an M. He's just adorable with the hair and baggy clothes over his little frame. And those front teeth! So endearing. See, reasons why one should have their own kids - you get delightful little ones who can be so amusing just by being themselves with a little baggy outfit and gelled-hair. Rofl.
Moving on - their acoustic performance of 'Chewing Gum' with Nishijima-kun playing the guitar which I never knew he could:
The pairing part? When he was close to finishing his verse of the song and looked down to the one girl sitting below, and a smile appeared on his features.
And she reciprocated:
However, the most amusing is how he's so amazingly hyped when it comes to her. With the boys only concert last year - Uno was the only girl out of the two in the group to make it to the concert. She was up on a higher level with fellow Avex reps(I'm assuming) as the five guys started to call out 'Uno-chan' enthusiastically with their hands waving to the girl across the other end of the venue.
Nishijima-kun left out all the usual formalities, and called out to her on first name basis, complete with arms flailing in pure enthusiam.
Naturally, she giggled as she waved back just as enthusiastically to the silly, almost-hyper, boy on the stage =D
There are just so many reasons to love this pairing - be it a platonic friendship or a blossoming relationship, their bond is undeniable.
And before I forget, Atae-kun's hairstyles never fail to make me helplessly gush over how it makes him oh-so-gorgeous. Rofl. Seriously.
