When I was younger, I recall seeing people performing it on tv and I've always thought it was awesome. It was amazing how the person could just make those sounds like the beats of the drums and all that. The basics are exactly like the drums where there's the kick drum, snare drum and the hi-hat. And as you progress, you incorporate more sounds, vary it, but of course, it takes a lot of practice and patience.
And suddenly, I just have this strange fascination with it. I had just looked up for more information online, while trying to download a couple of the popular ones just to take a listen. Seriously, the sounds are addictive. I know I say that about almost every song I listen to, but this is not just some random song/sound you hear everyday.
The fascination? Human Beatbox. Right now I'm taking a listen to Yuri Lane and Joel Turner. Unfortunately youtube doesn't work for me cause I can't seem to hear the sounds but only able to see the clip, so it's really dissapointing cause I was really looking forward to see this Turner guy beatboxing which from what I read, is pretty good. But by just hearing the audio clip that I managed to get, I'll say...it's true. He is pretty good. Of course I don't know what is really awesome/good/etc. by beatbox standards...but I just do like listening to him.
But I would say the one I'm most into...is Yuichi-kun's beatboxing. I just love listening to him cause his style varies most of the time. Sounds pretty bias, ne? Obviously, since I'm so much into him. But whenever I watch him beatbox there's this fuzzy feeling somehow. I think if I were to ever watch him beatbox live...forget it, I would probably be so enthralled by him. Plus, his voice when he sings is charming enough. I think the guy deserves more vocal parts (not that Jin & Kazuya are bad) in their group songs.
Seriously though, I wonder if there's some beatboxing kind of event in M'sia cause I would love to go! I really wanna see the beatboxers up live and hear them live.
On another note...Arsenal is doing really well at the Champions League which I'm really glad about. Though the EPL is not looking too-fine for them, but I have a feeling they will do better as they gain their pace. I haven't gotten around to watch much football lately, with all my assignments and everything. I don't know if I'm really busy or I'm just procrastinating. The pile of notes on my desk needs to be filed and organized, but it's still sitting there, pilling up and getting messier. Anyhow...I have yet to actually watch Athletico Madrid play either cause I keep coming back in the evenings and by then I would be all tired out to actually sit and watch without falling asleep.
And there's a rumor that the guys may release their third single this November, which if they do, it will be a perfect Christmas present to get for myself. Lol. I'm hoping it will include 'Your Smile' as well.
Mel's birthday was yesterday...so, Happy Belated Birthday Melissa! *Hugs* I have yet to actually cook for her the Japanese food due to our hectic timetable but I promised that I would soon, by next week Monday. I feel a little guilty though cause I didn't get her anything either, except for the fur-ball drawing that I drew during PR1 class. It wasn't as nice as I wanted it to be cause I was rushing to finish it before class ended and was trying to avoid getting caught drawing. Honestly, this year I suck at giving birthday presents. Late ones, ungiven ones...even my brother didn't really get anything from me! I don't think I actually gave much thought to this year's birthdays, to which, I'm really sorry to everyone. I think the only one I gave most thought to was Yi-laine's birthday present.
OTH season 4 is back! Today, well, it's actually yesterday but cause of the time difference, so yeah. I'm pretty nervous to know what's going to happen after the ending of season 3, Naley....Brucas....Peyton and Brooke... I wish Jake could return to Tree Hill. I love Brooke being with Lucas but at the same time, I can't help feeling that Peyton deserves Lucas more and after all, they were the ones who noticed/liked each other first. But the most important of all, Nathan and Haley. Any heartbreaks concerning this two really kills my heart. I still can't watch Season 2, even until now! Pathetic! Even though I know they got back together in Season 3...but still. I was watching it on Star World where they were showing the prom episode and my lips just started trembling when it came to the scene where Haley tells Nathan to just go to the prom without her and she will meet him there. Nathan dejectedly agrees and when he hangs up, the scene follows him to where he walks up to a horse-drawn carriage which he requested just to make the night extra special for Haley. Which guy would actually do something as sweet as that? Okay, maybe I do know of a few who would...anyway, the point is, they are the best couple in a tv show that I've actually come to know of and loved, so if anything bad were to happen...I will be really heartbroken.
So now...I'm off. To bed that is. Well, not really, cause I still wanna watch a few clips that I downloaded. Lol.
Edit: Oh yeah. I saw Petrina today!!! I didn't see her since.....since July I think. Petrinaaaaaa. Hehe. Miss you!
