I had finally gotten around to at least completing an overdue drama that I was supposed to watch weeks back. So that's one down and, another two to go? I have yet to actually complete watching Attention Please and Heroes which the latter makes me feel really pathetic for not doing so cause I was so gung-ho about it in the first place and yet I haven't even watched a proper episode. Well at least I completed watching HYD2 which, I really loved and also Moon Child-not a drama but a movie starring two of the hottest J-Rock guys alive. Come to think of it, I have yet to complete watching Another (the musical which KJ8 starred in 2002), Spirits!, and even the drama special which Uchi-kun starred in. How did I get so behind in all these anyway?
Anyhow, I suppose my overdue lateness from completing HYD2 was because of the whole Domyouji-Makino-Hanazawa triangle, where I was really rooting for Makino and Hanazawa, lol, even though I knew of the outcome. It hurt to see Hanazawa Rui so upset and he was the one who had to let go of Makino, one of the hardest things for a person to do. So naturally, seeing Hanzawa Rui all hurt and forlorn wasn't my kind of thing, hence the delay. But I finally took the time to sit down and complete all four final episodes and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Inoue Mao is absolutely wonderful as Makino, her acting is one of the best I have seen so far among the Japanese actresses. You just naturally feel for her cause her acting's really realistic, so when she's happy or sad, the feelings get rake in along with you. Plus, she's adorable when she lost her temper after she found out Domyouji remembered everyone but her, lol. As much as I love the other three guys, MatsuJun, Matsuda Shota and Abe Tsuyoshi, I absolutely love Oguri Shun in his character. The whole series provided loads of laughter and tears, funny and silly moments...some pretty much unrealistic but in all, it's definitely one the of the most enjoyable ones. I still stand by opinion that HYD is more better than MG, even if MG followed the original manga completely but HYD provided much more.
Usually J-Rock is the least in my interest but since I have a habit of trying new music every once in a while and get hooked to it, it's no surprise that this genre's bug bit me. Besides, I've always found J-Rock guys really interesting what with their makeup and clothing. The only J-Rock band I actually know and enjoy listening to in the first place is Glay, but Gackt kinda grew on me as well. Anyhow, knowing Gackt led me to Moon Child which he co-starred with Hyde of L'Arc~en~Ciel, whom I came to know back in 2005 because of Kagen no Tsuki where he played Adam. Interestingly, the movie stars Wang Lee Hom as well, I had NO idea that he acted in a movie that featured these two J-guys. It's a vampire movie and weirdly, I cried a few times throughout the movie. It's crazy I know. But the Kei-Sho scenes were really moving. But there were the crazy humor as well. I can't believe that Gackt could act so convincingly as Sho where he was incredibly childish and silly for the earlier part of the movie, and so cold and cool in the later part. Sho really killed me with his antics. Kei is just too cool as a vampire.Or maybe I should say Hyde makes a really cool vampire. The look, the smirk, the movements...crap, I was pwned over by his character. My fascination with the vampire world never ends, first it was Tom Cruise as Lestat and Brad Pitt as Louis and now, Hyde as Kei.
Sometimes, movies and drama provide the release in life that you would never know, a world different from reality where sometimes, you wish you could runaway to that world instead. That's what I feel sometimes....
