if YOU can'T be resPonsiBle...then...

Here's the thing...ever since we were kids we've been hearing from our parents about being responsible..we hear it from our teachers/lecturers/aunts/uncles/etc. So by the time you reach your adult years, you SHOULD bloody well know what responsibility is all about! If you don't...geez, I feel sorry for you. Well unless you have some problems understanding or some sort like that.

Today's Star newspaper, page 3, had a report on dog abuse...by a 46 year old engineer. Here's what ticked me of;
1) He's 46! What is it so hard for him to understand responsibility???
2) He's an engineer! And here they say educated people are smarter, better, etc, all the crap.

This guy neglected his German Shepherd dog and it suffered from malnutrition and severe tick fever. That's not all, the list goes on...from the post-mortem it showed the dog also had an empty stomach(the dog was left starving!!!WTH!), shruken kidneys, brittled ribcage and haemorrhage in its lungs. The dog's nails were also too long which curved into its paws and caused pain to the dog whenever it tried to walk.

Dude!What kind of pet-owner are you??!?!?!?

If you do not, DO NOT, know, understand & comprehend the term responsibility then why the hell do you even bother to take up a pet? A pet, no matter a dog, cat, iguana, etc. requires food, water, shelter, attention and LOVE! You don't go get a pet and after you get sick or too busy for it then you just ditch it. How would you feel if someone you love did that to you? It makes me so angry and hurt to know that there are people as...'stupid' as this.

When I saw the dog's photo...it looked so forlorn. I cried. Yes, I admit that was a little carried away...but how I wish I could just hug the dog and reassure it again. But the dog has been to put to sleep...too late for anything else to be done. I hope you're bloody well ASHAMED of yourself mister! You bring a bad name to pet-owners.

I get it that sometimes one can be too busy and all, but to be too busy until you forgot to feed your pet?? Bathe it? To say Hi? To hug it? All you have to do is spend at least 30 minutes of your day with your pet. I know of people who are so busy with their work, but yet they still find the time to be with their pets, and of course, to FEED their pets!

So, people who don't have the time for pets, please don't go hurting them by getting one and then ditch it.

Totally agreed. I didn't read that news but i remembered i read a news simillar in Sinchew a month ago. A dog was left to guard an empty house when the house owner shifted. In the end, the dog was left suffering.

If you don't want your pets just give it away. There are lots of animal lovers in our society!
