"Only the end of the red...will show you my blue side.."
I'm home...at 12.33 pm where I'm actually supposed to be in college, having my lunch break before trudging unwillingly to my 2 hour Academic Writing class. I'm not feeling well. Okay, maybe it's just a lil stomach ache but it seems to be going on for a few days now. I get up in the mornings and feel a twisted knot in my stomach, and it makes me feel uneasy. After a couple of hours it gets better, but sometimes it comes back again in the evenings. My parents don't think I'm having a gastric problem. Then again, ever since I was kid, I've been having this kinda problems. I remember there was once, it got so bad when I was 8, I stayed home for a whole month!
So yesterday my friends and I headed to a Vietnamese restaurant for our assignment. Yeap, doing some field-work for our magazine. Very nice place, the food was pretty cool...interesting and not bad actually. But I have a sneaky feeling the food didn't settle too well with me...uh, but I will not make such 'jumping-into-conclusion' statements. I mean, I can't say that I'm not feelin too well because of the food there, it could be something else, like the food I ate at college, or..so..uh, yeah, the place is pretty cool.
I still can't believe Vieira is no longer in the team. Sigh. He's a great guy, wonderful midfielder... His presence on the field will definitely be missed. Oh well, I guess he wanted to try something new. Gain new insights, etc with another club. So, I wish him all the best. This kinda makes things more interesting for the upcoming season, seeing that we are having a new skipper, a few players transferred... hmm... Only another month wait for the new season.
I feel so darn intimidated at times. Intimidated by the works' of others. Especially when it comes to writing. I have these friends who are so good at it that it makes me feel like my writing's just some measly kid scribbles. Seriously. It makes me feel like...'Childish work you got here Jess. Look at (friend's name here), creative, different, out-of-the-box. You're so lame...kiddo.' And I even get intimidated by reading other people's fan fictions. I'm totally at awe for their writing and ideas. Their words captivate your imagination, and they use words that puts you on the spot and makes you feel the emotions, etc. I can't do that! Failure me. Lol. There's this fan fic from an awesome fic writer who goes by the pen name, WrexSoul, and it's so good! I feel so darn intimidated when I read her works, and yet at the same time, I totally love her writing. Her 'Water Under the Bridge' fic is simply wonderful. Hehe....
Okay,I had enough babbling. I should get to work on my other assignments...like my minimum 4-page academic essay, review article and also my CV/resume which is due on Monday, which reminds me, I have no idea what I'm going to put down in my CV. Damn.
