When you're asked to do your assignment based on a weblog, any weblog of your choice, be sure it's not one of your interest. Cause then you'll tend to get too caught up in your topic of interest instead of your assignment at hand. I was looking up for food blogs cause it was the only kind of blog/site I actually have any interest in analyzing, examining, criticizing, etc. the design. Others don't really go down well with my interest and attention span. So instead of actually looking at blogs worthy of my interest (or rather worthy of my rather lame comment and analysis skill) I was drawn to all the food instead.
I've always thought that food is one of the world's best things. It's makes you full and happy. Very happy. One motto in life that I always go by is that 'Life's too short to waste it so if it's good food, then I wouldn't mind paying loads for it. Even if it's crazily expensive.' Of course if I actually have the money to afford it, cause I wouldn't want to go hungry for the rest of the month.
So, when I was thinking about my trip to Singapore (if it actually happens), I was wondering about the amount of extra money I'm going to bring. But in order to do that, I had to figure out what I actually intend to buy from there. Since I'm not that rich and not that lucky to have my parents pay for my expenses and all to go there, there's a pretty limited budget for me. At first I had thought of going to the Kino there and look up for some books and stuff that's not available here in M'sia's Kino. Or maybe go random shopping around the city area. However, after looking at the food blogs, I decided I am going to splurge on food instead! Lol. Life's too short to keep away from good, delicious food!
I've also made the resolution that instead of spending my money on music and stuff (though the exception may occur from time to time) I am going to spend it all on food instead. Hehe.
I've also been thinking about the whole volunteering thing to which I've been saying since last year. I feel bad that ever since I've enrolled in my degree, I've pushed it aside. So...what I thought was, since I have Wednesdays off, why don't I put it to good use by volunteering. Though I am worried that taking this extra day off would cause me less time to do my assignments and all.
Honestly, degree is turning out to be tougher than expected. Just for one open-book 10 questions quiz, I had spent over 3 hours pouring over newspapers and the Internet to look up for the answers. And for a single question with a 150 word answer from my PR assignment, took me a whole hour plus to answer. I think I'm taking this whole degree thing a lil too over the edge. I keep worrying and fidgeting over everything. But I REALLY want to do well. Not just well, but exceptional. Even just thinking about it is making me go anxious. Sigh.
