I kinda noted how weird things can get at times. Today was actually a pretty sucky day for me, there were three customers at the shop who were pretty...well, one was really picky (the slightest detail of the ribbon had to be PERFECT), another was fickle and finally the other was pretty much stuck-up. The third one annoyed me the most cause of the look that she gave me, like I was some stupid kid who didn't know a thing. One thing I totally hate, is when people give me 'that' look, for instance;
1) 'You don't belong ' look
2) 'You know nothing' look
3) 'You're so low-class' look
4) 'I'm far better than you' look
Those 'looks' are what totally annoys me the most. It's like...ugh. Stop it with that look will ya? You don't know me, so quit it with that look. Unfortunately, not everyone gets that. Lol.
Okay, so here I thought today's not my day...until I reached the end of the day and headed for home. On the way out of 1 Utama with my dad, I caught sight of a guy with flaming red hair, which reminded me of...yeah, Reno. To top all off, the guy's hairstyle was pretty much like Reno's..minus the ponytail. He had this grin on his face as he was talking to his friends, I manage to catch his eye for a moment, and it really made me smile. He had this really nice grin on his face...which is what I've always liked. I mean to say that I like it when a person has a really nice/friendly smile/grin on his/her face. So that part there had already brighten a lil of my day, though it's kinda too late, considering the fact that it was already 10.20 at night. Lol.
Imagine my surprise when the whole drifting thing had already started out at the open car-park. Yeah, drifting as in the car-racing drifting. I grabbed my dad and went over to watch the guys practice. Very cool. The sounds...sights...it kinda gives you a rush. I was...well, kinda overwhelmed. I felt the adrenaline jolting up to my body and it was like...woah. So...drifting...what the hell is that? Well according to what I found...from ditcionary, Merriam Webster Online to be specific, 'drift'...it's...
1.a. to become driven or carried along (as by a current of water, wind or air)
b. to move or to float smoothly and effortlessly
2.a. to move along a line of least resistance
b. to move in a random or casual way
c. to become carried along subject to no guidance or control
3.a. to accumulate in a mass or become piled up in heaps by water or wind
b. to become covered with a drift
4. to wary or deviate from a set course or adjustment
Okay, so there are actually more to it, but I wanna cut to the chase. So, drifting....would be...I quote, '...a racing technique of braking the rear tires loose in a controlled manner right before an uncontrolled skid. Drifting is the fastest way through a corner. A car is considered as drifting when all of its wheels are slipping, but the front wheels are still pointed in the direction of the corner, or at least straight.' I quote from the one and only, Initial D official movie website. Yeah, I have this thing for anything that's way crazy but totally cool.
I admit I'm not much of a car person...heck, I don't even have my driving license yet...lol, but all I know...that what I saw...was...awesome and amazing. So, tomorrow, well actually, today since it's already 12.22 in the morning now as I'm typing this, the Dataran Open Car Park at 1U is 'the' place to be if one wants to catch all this action. I was actually really looking forward to it when I found out about it bout...two weeks ago. Yeah, it's in conjuction with the movie Initial D. There will be appearance of the current coolest and hottest young stars of Asia, and of course...the art of drifting demo. So to speak, there will be the appearance of the coolest guy in the Chinese entertainment scene....yeah....coolest guy....Shawn Yue. Lol, I bet you thought I was talking about Jay Chou or Edison Chen. Hehe...nahhhh, Shawn's even cooler than the both of them. Lol. And yeah, I'm pretty much aware of the fact that many people are gonna disagree with me about this, including my own friends...hehe. I have nothing against the other two guys, yeah, they are pretty cool, I'll admit Jay's amazing as his musical talents are really good...while for Edison, his grin and the daring, crazy stuff he did in MTV Whatever Things is definitely awesome...but...Shawn's still cooler to me. Lol. Actually, I doubt I'll have much of a chance to catch a glimpse of the guys (just imagine the hundreds, or rather, thousands of girls crowding the scene!) so I'm just looking forward to the whole drifting thing instead.
Yeah, so the whole practice drifting thing totally changed my day...I'm actually feeling...'high'. Lol. Yeah, I'm still feeling the adrenaline in me. Nuts, I know. So yeah, it's pretty weird how things can turn around so fast at times. Sometimes things may seem good, but then it begins to turn wrong...or when things are sucky, but later on, something good happens. Weird. Hehe.
I finally gathered my bloody guts to post my first attempt at Reno x Tifa fic. And so far, it's pretty okay..but I'm still kinda nervous about it. No idea why. It's like...there's just something about it that I don't feel like it's good enough or something. This is probably the first time I felt this way when I post a fic up. Damn. Something's wrong with me. Lol.
Right, that's it....I need to grab something to eat and distract myself from the thrilling rush I'm feeling....
