the childish days

I was reading this column today on the Star paper and reading it kinda made me reflected back on my younger years. The kiddy years. It was just so fun...where we would play dress-ups, 'masak-masak', 'house'...stuff like that. Or like when we built a 'home' with the cushions, pillows and blankets and then with all my soft furry toys or just generally playing with my soft toys and making up funny silly stories. Or those piggyback rides or being lifted up high up in the air and spinning around crazily. Getting all spooked out with stupid stuff like thinking there were ghost in my grandma's place. Building a sand-city. Doing things where the imagination runs with no boundaries and nothing to stop us.

I like to think I had a wonderful childhood. I was brought up with a big brother and cousins who were very much playful and led a pretty imaginative life. Maybe that's why I'm always day-dreaming right now...cause I was too dreamy and imaginative back then. Lol. And my mom never really stopped us and always taught me more...I remember when my mom taught me and my brother how to make Easter eggs, when she taught us the game of hopscotch, how to fold a boat with a random flyer that was in our postbox, teaching me how to make my first food -steamed egg, etc. I remember how I learnt my first maths timetable, the 2x. I was 7/8 years old, sitting in the kitchen as my mom cooked and my brother was learning his 12x(I think) and I recited out loud the answers as my mom encouraged me to remember it well as it would help me later on, and telling me to work my way up with the rest. Actually, my mom was the one who taught me my maths and after that it was my youngest aunt and then my brother. But when I reached Form 5, it was my best friend who helped me out with math and I came to love and enjoy it as I practiced it more.

And here I am thinking and wondering why I felt 'unloved'/'uncared' for in the past. I am just so strange, I can never understand myself. I wonder how other people could understand me better than I could for myself.

Finally after what seem like forever, I updated my fanfic again and I'm happy to say that it's doing pretty well with the fandom. As I re-read all my past fics, I noted that my writing style changed alot. It somehow became more...mature? Lol. I look back at my first fic and I wanted to die in embarrassm
ent. How did I ever thought that was good? Even my second and third one was...ugh. I cringe at the sight of my stupid use of words, or mistakes made, or weird sentences, etc. But I'm really proud of this current fic that I'm writing though it's taking me forever to actually update it. I started that fic in June last year and it's still in progress with currently 9 chapters. I really want to end it soon but I keep making the storyline longer instead so it makes it hard for me to just give an abrupt ending like that.

Just for kicks, I decided to upload the new pics released of Shinhwa. I couldn't help grinning when I saw those pics.

And I was even happier to see that I got my guesses right. Hyesung's the one on th
e far right! And Minwoo was the one second from left in the earlier pic, cause if noted closely at the first pic...the guy's right wrist has a black band and in this pic, Minwoo's the one with the black band...on his right wrist. Junjin on the far left, Dongwan was the one third from left (but switched with Minwoo in this pic), followed by Andy and Eric (who are in the same position as they were in the first one). I was actually only positive of Hyesung, Minwoo and Dongwan in the first pic, but I couldn't be sure if it was Andy-Eric or Eric-Andy. Which of course, doesn't matter now. Lol.But my favorite one of them has got to be the one below.

They look so happy and it's so nice to just see them 6 again. Complete. It was never right just seeing them 4/3 or whatever...but as 6 it just completes everything. Sometimes I can't help but feel really envious of their close friendship. It's something that I never really had I guess. Sure, maybe for a short period of time I did...but for a whole 8 years? Not really. To have someone to stick up for you when someone sticks a knife into your back, or someone to stand by you when you make a mistake, or someone to be really worried and concern for you when you're in the hospital, someone to be really encouraging towards you in even the smallest things-like learning Japanese (lol), etc. And you know that someone has done that before, is doing that and will be continuing to do so for the rest of your life.

And the other thing about the pic? They look hot! Lol. They look good in almost everything they wear which sometimes I wo
nder how is that possible?? Since I'm in a very Shinhwa-ish mood, I decided to spam my blog with more images of them. So, none Shinhwa fans, stay away. Lol.

These are the pics from their recent IvyClub photoshoot, which I have to say they look really cute. Hehe. In case anyone's wondering what the hell is IvyClub...well, it's this popular brand in Korea that makes school uniforms. Unlike M'sia, their school uniforms are not exactly standardized, they are personlized according to the school. And I know, the second thought anyone would come up with right now would be why the hell are they modelling for school uniforms when they are no longer in school. Lol. They actually started back in 2000 for their first shoot when they were still 19-21, but then because the response was tremendous after they endorse it, so the company decided to continue with them. And that continued until now, making them the longest spokesperson for the company and probably for any other celebrity-endorsement deals. But I am not complaining, they look good in those uniforms over the years which is kinda weird, cause they are after all 25-27 this year, but yet they can pull off the whole-uniform look well. Lol.

So the hype continues as May approaches and their Asian tour has confirmed a total of 5 countries. Korea (of course), Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Their comeback will begin in April 15 (or was it 14? Lol) with the Mnet concert thingie in Japan along with a press conference. Wheee. Joy. Ha-ha.
