it's a yes!

After a very much nerve-wrecking speech in front of my parents, to which I really felt like I was giving some sort of presentation for a moment there, my parents smiled and nodded. They gave their approval and asked me to go ahead. I can continue my studies for my degree! They said yes!

So, I can now continue at Taylor's with their new programme for degree and hopefully be able to get a 1 1/2 year advance standing. My worries and fears about what-to-do after my diploma are all gone.I feel so...light-hearted now. The only thing left is for me to settle a few things, choose my intake (that is if the intake begins this July) and that's it. At least I think so. Lol.

Things are definitely looking up in life right now, despite that bloody Econs.

I got really messed up with Econs today when I was revising through one of the workshop questions. Cheneille called to ask a few answers, and when I realized that I didn't go through those questions yet, I decided to take a look at it.

The first question stumped me. The first question alone. See, I already done questions before and the answers are there, but I couldn't figure out how in the world I got those answers in the first place. Very short-term memory indeed. So I sat there for nearly 15 minutes, not being able to make sense of how I got my answers. My brother, the guy who proclaimed he has the brains for Econs, was home so I asked him for help. I then read the question out to him and told him my situation.

The horrible question that got me all stumped and to which later pointed out my utter stupidity, was, 'How much is total fixed cost at (insert output number here) ?'. The table only gave the output, TC,AC and MC. I figured out how I got the MC and AC answers, but I couldn't figure out how could I possibly get FC when I don't have VC to subtract from TC. My brother got a little lost at first, but when he looked again at the question, he repeated it again with a pointed tone as he came to the words, 'fixed cost'. That was when my stupid brain neurons actually started to function properly. Fixed cost. Fixed cost is fixed, it's the same for all, not matter what is the quantity of output! Hello, stupid. Someone hit me on the head with a two by four and ram me over with a truck will you? I can't believe the answer was so simple but yet I managed to make it all so confusing.

I immediately laughed at my own stupidity as my brother shook his head, probably wondering how the hell did he get such an idiotic little sister.

Yeap, Econs is my numero uno enemy. Aargh.
