you want something, you get it and you don't want it anymore

It's funny how I usually feel this way. I will have this huge indescribable craving for something and once I get hold of it, the craving fades away. It feels like there's nothing to it anymore. Nothing special or whatsoever. My guess is, I crave for the thrill and excitement of getting the thing, but not the thing itself. Well, whoever would have thought that I would have this side in me. Not that I'm proud of it, but honestly, I think deep down inside of me, I'm actually slightly delighted to have this side in me. A side whereby I crave for something so badly that I'm willing to go all out for it and not giving up despite all the trouble, problems, headaches, etc. It's a good thing when you look at it in the other view and if I put this craving-determination to a good use that is.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it's got me into wondering about the guys that I had 'seriously-liked' before. Did I only like them because they were 'out of my league' and the thought of liking them was exhilarating, thrilling? Lol. I hate to think if that was my reason. Gawd, if that's the case that I feel pretty awful.

Off topic here, I am not going to ponder about my so-called love-life but instead the 'thing' that got me into the aforementioned statements above. Finally, after what seemed like forever, the long-awaited (and very much craved) CD has arrived into my hands. Turns out it reached my grandma's place on Tuesday but cause she wasn't in, so the postman left a card informing of my package's delivery. Since it was a registered mail, a signature was required. My dad only found out yesterday morning to which he immediately went to 'bail' my package out, knowing how insane I was getting over the absence of the package's presence. I got it, barely had time to open the package to admire the contents, giving a quick glance at the gorgeous poster before placing it back into the envelope with the CD as I had to rush to work. The whole time at work, my mind kept fleeting to the package back at home, imagining it screaming my name, tempting me to take a listen to it. I kept humming their single over and over again as I worked.

Came back home, stared at the package again before slowly taking it out again with care. I stared at the CD in my hands, expecting to feel something like fireworks or shooting stars, or whatever, blasting high up in the sky, but there was absolutely nothing. Only a smile. Opened the CD cover and carefully admired the contents. Interesting, amusing, nice, not to forget, gorgeous...but that's all. That's all. All the excitement and insanity seemed to have gone into the depths of a deep, dark pit. So yeah, that's what gotten my thoughts of the day. I can recall now all the times that the same thing happened. Sigh.

However, this does not necessarily mean I don't enjoy the CD. That would be the understatement of the year. I am absolutely esctatic. I fell in love with most of the songs at first listen and at this very moment, it's being played over and over again on my WMP. Definitely different from their previous album and it seems that they have really improved alot from when they first started. Especially his voice, it sounds so good that I can't help grinning everytime I hear it. Especially when he hits the high note at the near end of Track 10, only one word comes to mind...perfection. The only 'complaint' I have of the album is that, okay maybe not the only one...but anyway, one is the CD package, the CD's placed in such a way that it's a lil difficult to get it out and be careful not to scratch it, and two, it has only 12 tracks. A little dissapointment since their previous album had 14. However all in all, I would give this album a thumbs-up.

Oh and a little thing to add to my current contentment, the books I've been dying to re-read again have finally reached my hands. So now that I have both the music and the books...life looks pretty good for me. Lol.
