the good and the bad

I'm only 18+ but here I am with a bad shoulder ache, or rather a muscle pulled near the back of my shoulder. My mom always said that I'm like this old lady with so much muscle problems and aches here and there. Then again, I'm not the only one. My brother is pretty much injury-prone with his muscles too. Lol. Guess it runs in the family.

I found the perfect birthday gift for my big brother! I was working at 1U today (okay more like yesterday since it's after 12 so it means it's officially the next day now) since I was still early, I went to this really cool shop and was actually intending to get something for Mags. While paying, I saw this really awesome gadget thing, to which I'll not specify here, and after the guy at the counter explained to me all about it...I knew I just had to get it for my brother's 22nd birthday. The downside is that it's pretty expensive and it's kinda out of my price range. Well not really, but being a little selfish here, I want to be able to use my money for some other stuff like getting the CDs I wanted so badly...so yeah...hehe. But I know I will soon change my mind and have a great long debate with my inner conscience whether to buy it or not. Well that's a debate for another day, not now.

So while I was at 1U today...there was the 'good' and the 'bad'...people. The good; there's this food place called Charms and I had the wrapped egg roll with turkey ham (twice, cause it was so good...lol) and while ordering it, I received really good service from the waiter/waitress there. And they were smiling the whole time and were just so nice!It just made my whole day so much more happier. And then there were a couple of nice customers who came by to wrap some stuff who were really nice too, by being really open to my suggestions, being easy-going and not fickle with their decisions and had really huge smiles on their faces with a nice word of 'thank you' when I completed wrapping their gifts. Courteous people indeed.

And there's the bad. This lady came in with a tone of sarcasm in almost every sentence that came out from her mouth. And the guy accompanying her was pretty rude too. Here's the thing about me, I dislike, really dislike rude people...so if you were to be that way towards me, all my nice thoughts about you flies out the window and I'll be slightly hostile towards you. Drop that facade and I will drop mine.

Reading back on this, I realize my words are a little weird and jumbled up with weird grammar and sentences...I think it's due to my lack of sleep so my brain's not functioning properly. But I can't sleep...not yet anyway. As I was saying...yeah,there was the good and the bad in my day. And one quote came to my mind as I thought about today...'Sometimes when you open up to people, you let the good and the bad'. That quote, was from She's All That, my all-time favorite teen flick movie, by Zach Siller (played by the charming Freddie Prinze Jr.). And Zach was right...that's the way the world is...you get the good and the bad, but it doesn't mean you should let the bad bring you down and let it get to you. Nope. And it's really up to you to choose the good or the bad. So for me...I chose...to see the good. Lol.

I like being happy. I really do. Being happy is a nice feeling. I just love being happy. And though I know I sound 'high' in this post and little weird, but yeah, happy has got to be the nicest emotion/feeling in the world. =) And to top it off, I'm going back to my usual football insanity by staying up to watch Arsenal's Champions League match against Juventus which is at 2.30am later. I have class tomorrow...but I'll survive. Lol.
