music

Music...plays an important role in my life. I'm pretty sure I will never get by without music in my life. No joke. A couple of days ago, I was in the most upsetting mood ever. So instead of just crying pathetically (like I always do), I decided to place a brave front and blast a couple of music. Namely Good Charlotte's. Lol. After a while I found myself singing along and just forgetting everything else. So from there, my mood picked up a little and I just started singing along to sad songs, happy songs, crazy songs, whatever...just singing my heart out. And I felt so darn better after that.

And while we're on the topic of music...well, actually everything today will be music-related. Anyway, as I was saying, I really, badly wanted to get OTH Vol.2 soundtrack, but cause my cousin brother decided he's not placing any orders to Amazon just yet, I can't. So I now have to thread the scary waters and ask my dad instead. How scary it can be? Very scary, thank you. That look on his face is enough to set any kid crying, fleeing to their room and locking themselves up. Okay maybe not that scary, but close enough. I really do want the CD, so I guess I just have to face it and be brave. Lol. But the good side is, I'll be able to get another CD which I've been eyeing for a while now but can't get in Malaysia. Hehe.

24th March, which is a Friday...was a special date and I was actually supposed to change my layout for the occasion but I didn't cause the layout that I had been working out turned out...not so nice. And since I didn't have much time left, I thought I would just forget it. And I kinda regret my decision. Lol. It was Shinhwa's 8th anniversary as...well, Shinhwa. From 1998 until now. 8th year,8th album...2006 definitely looks promising for the guys with a whole bunch of activities lined up and an Asia tour. After all, they are 'Shinhwa' and no one creates a better 'legend' then them. But it's also kinda sad cause this would be their last year before the half of them leave for military duties.

Still, I love the fact that they assured their fans (almost all the time) that they will always be Shinhwa, and even in 10, 20 years, etc...they will always be together. They even made that funny promise in their 2004 Winter Story Tour in Seoul saying that they are only 12(?) years old and they will be sticking around for another 30 years. But the best had to be when they said that they will get married and have kids, but still continue to perform and hopefully their fans who are married and with kids, would still come along and support them. One thing's for sure though, is that this 6 guys are definitely going to be together forever cause they are just always there for each other no matter what. Solo projects, accidents, performances, etc...at least one of them would turn up to show their support and love. It kinda make me envious of their friendship.Hehe.

And lastly, this 'thing' that Cheneille had asked me to do and even called me donkey for not doing it yet. Ha-ha.

One song....... from your early childhood.

---> I think it would have to be Black & White? Michael Jackson.

One song....... you are associating with your first big love.
---> One song...uh...this is kinda difficult. I remember associating nearly every single love song with my 'first big love'. Lol. I guess 'Dear Diary' by Britney Spears. The lyrics were sweet and it described the feelings of a first love on a guy whom you barely knew but you just felt a special connection with.

One song....... which reminds you of one of your holidays.
---> Lol. I have no idea. I don't have a soundtrack for my holidays. But I guess if I really had to put something then probably one of those Chinese New Year songs, cause I remember when I was kid during the CNY holidays, on the first day of CNY me, my brother and cousins would be playing outside my grandma's place as the tv is on with those funny CNY songs.

One song....... you like, but you have problems confessing to.
---> I don't really have problems confessing to any song, at least I think so, okay maybe slightly but not really that much of a problem. Two actually, 'Disco Inferno'- The Trammps (Burn baby burn...lol, I can't get the song out of my head ever since I listened to it when I was a little kid) and Outta Control by 50 Cent. I do not, trust me, do not, like songs like this cause to me it's nothing more than a song glorifying all the 'lame' things like booze, sex, etc. But somehow this song is one of the tops in my playlist.

One song........ which accompanied you, while you were love sick.
---> There's so much! How can I pick? Alright I'll just go with the one that's always on my love-sick soundtrack. 'First Love' by Utada Hikaru.

One song....... you listen most often to in your life.
---> Most often to in my life? In my whole 18+ years? Well I forgot what I used to listen back when I was a kid and I don't think I really listened much to the same song for long anyway. So I'll take something that I remember now and that would be...'Angel' by Shinhwa (700+ times in a period of 7+ months) That is the only song I know I've been listening to so often and probably always will. Hehe.

One song....... which is your most favored instrumental.
---> Definitely First Love's instrumental version - Reasonless Love. I love everything about the song, the lyrics, the beautifully played piano sounds, the violins...it's just beautiful. So when I got hold of this instrumental version, I was even more ecstatic.

One song....... which represents one of your most favored bands.
---> 'Predictable'-Good Charlotte. Awesome song, awesome band, awesome guitarist (Billy, hehe).

One song...... in which you recognize yourself or through which you somehow feel understood.
---> Ugh. I recognize myself through...this thing is tough. I am looking through my songs as I am trying to answer this. Ugh.Okay, there's actually a few. 'Welcome To My Life'-Simple Plan, 'Thank You'- Simple Plan...but I think the most would be 'Take Me Away' by Avril Lavigne.

One song...... which reminds you of a certain occasion.
---> 'As Long As You Love Me'- Backstreet Boys. It was Teacher's Day at my high school and there was this performance by the senior prefects, and yeah, they performed to this BSB song. However, the song didn't remind me of the performance or the prefects performing that song. It actually reminded me of a special someone, standing by the stage in with a small smile on his face as he watched his friends perform. I couldn't stop the smile that was forming on my face as I watch his smile.

One song...... you like which belongs to the Hip Hop/Rap genre.
---> 'Get It Poppin''- Fat Joe feat. Nelly.

One song....... which is the best for you to relax.
---> 'Say Yes'- Elliot Smith, though I prefer Bryan Greenberg's version. Hehe.

One song....... which symbolizes a great time in your life.
---> I have no idea! Lol. There were a couple of songs that played through those 'great times' but I can't seem to remember. Oh yeah, 'Hakuna Matata'-Timon and Pumbaa. I remember singing that song with my big brother and my mom and my cousin, whoever, cause that song was just so happy and wacky. It brings a grin to my face whenever I hear it. Listening to it, singing along to it, with anyone at all, is one of the great times in my life cause I remember all the times when I did so, I was having so much fun and everything else is forgotten except for Hakuna Matata. I was actually leaning towards 'Cry' by Mandy Moore, cause it did symbolize one of the great time in my life, but nothing beats Hakuna Matata. Lol.

One song....... which is your favorite song at the moment.
---> I am torn...there's a few actually. Namely 'Dance Dance'- Fall Out Boy, 'Hanging on For Hope'-The New Amsterdams...and...okay fine. The purpose of this is to have one song, so I'll just go for 'Dance Dance'

One song....... which you would dedicate to your best friend.
---> 'I'll Be There For You' -The Rembrandts

One song....... where you have got the feeling that no one besides you likes it.
---> 'Creepin' Up On You'-Darren Hayes

One song....... you like because of its lyrics.
---> I like all songs because of their lyrics! Lol. I guess I'll just go with my most current one...'You Get Me'- Michelle Branch.

Done. Finally.
