grad night

Grad night finally came and ended (well for me anyway, I think a couple of my pals are still boogey-ing the night away, lol). I felt I ought to blog about this little significant moment in my life. It wasn't very significant, but significant enough.

I got my final grade, as in the final grade. So I hereby annouce that I graduated my Diploma in Communication with a 3.64 CGPA. I was hoping for a 3.67 to make it a wonderful A- at least, but no siree, my points are short by 0.03. Sigh. I guess it was probably my grades from Sem 5 and the recent semester that made me loss the 0.03 there. It was quite surprising actually, to gain an A- for Moral , the subject to which I was on the verge of failing. Undeniably unbelievable. Econs however, the one subject which I would say I was doing pretty well for this semester, turned out with a B. I'm very much curious as to how that happen since my mid sem exam and assignment had pretty good marks, and I know my finals wasn't bad either. Was there a switcheroo thing between my subjects' marks that I happened to miss the memo about?

However I shall quit complaining and be grateful what I got, which I am. It's not too bad when I really think about it. I think.

Grad night consisted of a dinner at Oasis Bangsar with a buffet spread of fusion dishes, I noted there were alot of different types of pasta however. I think there were about 4 or 5 pasta dishes...or maybe even 6. The food was...nice. My favorite had to be the fries and potato wedges. Lol. Seriously, the food wasn't bad. We had dinner, took pics and finally got our results. That, was pretty much it...for me anyway.

Highlight of the day however, has to be X-Men 3 which I watched with Cheneille. Nice movie, lot's of action scenes...but I was a little dissapointed that certain characters didn't have the screen time that they deserve. Scenes were a little choppy. I would say I preferred X-Men and X-2. I think Bryan Singer did a better job in the first two movies, not that Ratner was bad...but I generally feel that Singer did justice to the characters and the comic. Oh well, personal opinion of mine. I was pleased to see Bobby a.k.a Iceman and Marie a.k.a Rogue still together...and had a somewhat nice-ending, but I don't see the reason Kitty to suddenly be in the picture. Jackman was awesome as Logan once again...I definitely loved his character for all 3 movies. James Marsden as Scott...well, second movie was definitely teary and touching, but for this movie...I felt it was, just choppy. His character seem to be insignificant somehow. However, Aaron Standford as Pyro was a definite thumbs-up with more screen time...lol, couldn't get enough of his 'hotness' and I mean it literally. I loved his character since X2 and was looking forward to watch more of him in this movie since he had turned over to the other side. Warren a.k.a Angel...I felt his character should have a little more...substance?A deeper role? Maybe it's cause I've never really read X-men comics or watch the cartoon much, so I don't really know what Angel's role is exactly. Best scenes...Logan and Jean at the near-end, a definite heart-wrenching moment. And of course...Iceman and Pyro's showdown against each other.

And though it was only for a couple of hours, I really enjoyed the time spent with Chenny...so Cheneille, thanks! I'm really going to miss a couple of people...now that our diploma has come to an end. Some I will come to see again, some not so soon, some...well, I don't know when again. Whatever it is though, I wish everyone...the Jan/March 2004 from Taylor's Diploma of Communication...have a wonderful life ahead and take care!
